Posidonius - A lunar impact crater that is located on the north-eastern edge of Mare Serenitatis, to the south of Lacus Somniorum
Sinus Iridium - A plain of basaltic lava that forms a northwestern extension to the Mare Imbrium
Mare Serenitatis - Sea of Serenity
Mare Crisium - Sea of Crisis
Archimedes - A large crater 81km across on the eastern edge of Mare Imbrium
Mare Imbrium - Sea of Showers/Rain

Langrenus - A prominent impact crater located near the eastern lunar limb. The feature is circular in shape, but appears oblong due to foreshortening. It lies on the eastern shore of the Mare Fecunditatis
Theophilus - A prominent lunar impact crater that lies between Sinus Asperitatis in the north and Mare Nectaris to the southeast
Mare Nectaris - Sea of Nectar
Ptolemaeus - An ancient lunar impact crater close to the center of the near side, 154km wide
Albategnius - An ancient lunar impact crater located in the central highlands. 
Alphonsus - An ancient impact crater on the Moon that dates from the pre-Nectarian era. It is located on the lunar highlands on the eastern end of Mare Nubium, west of the Imbrian Highlands, and slightly overlaps the crater Ptolemaeus to the north
Arzachel - A relatively young lunar impact crater located in the highlands in the south-central part of the visible Moon, close to the zero meridian. It lies to the south of the crater Alphonsus, and together with Ptolemaeus further north the three form a prominent line of craters to the east of Mare Nubium
Purbach - A large lunar impact crater located in the rugged southern highlands of the Moon.
Mare Nubium - Sea of Clouds
Werner - A prominent lunar impact crater that lies in the rugged south-central highlands of the Moon.
Deslandres - The heavily worn and distorted remains of a lunar impact crater. It is located to the southeast of the Mare Nubium, in the rugged southern highlands of the Moon
Aliacensis - A lunar impact crater that is located in the rugged southern highlands of the Moon. The crater Werner is located just to its north-northwest, and a narrow, rugged valley lies between the two comparably sized formations.
Maurolycus - One of the more prominent lunar impact craters in the southern highland region of the Moon that is covered in overlapping crater impacts
Stevinus - A lunar impact crater located in the southeast part of the Moon
