Albert Veksler – Global Aliyah
Albert is the director of
Global Aliya and wants to affect positively the image of Israel on the global scale. Aliyah (UK: /ˌɑː-/; Hebrew: הָּיִלֲע aliyah, "ascent") is the immigration of Jews from the diaspora to the Land of Israel (Eretz Israel in Hebrew). Albert’s testimony was powerful. Organising a prayer breakfast and bringing lots of important people together. There are more breakfasts happening around the world not just in Jerusalem. Prayer works and can be seen to work, opening eyes and softening hearts of all the people of Israel both Jews and Muslims to the love of Jesus.
Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast
The ICEJ featured prominently at the first annual Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast, held in June under the auspices of Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus. At the invitation of MK Robert Ilatov and Albert Veksler, more than 500 Christian leaders from 58 nations attended this inaugural event, including some 60 ICEJ senior leaders and national directors from around the globe. Convened to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem and to encourage Christian prayer for Israel worldwide, the three-day gathering included a visit to the Knesset, a reception at the President’s Residence, a worship concert, a founders’ gala dinner, and the launch of the first annual Presidential Prayer Breakfast for Israel at the grand Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jerusalem. ICEJ President Dr. Jürgen Bühler was a keynote speaker at several of these events, and the ICEJ received frequent recognition from other speakers for its role in pioneering the global movement of Christian support for Israel in our day.
