White-fronted geese: Ban change attacked by bird lovers

Wales is the only country on the flight path of an endangered goose where the birds can be shot and killed, says the Welsh Ornithological Society (Wos).

Is it right to have a voluntary ban OR should we be looking to have an outright gun ban in place to protect them???

Almost half the worlds population of White-fronted geese pass through so it could have a devastating effect on their numbers and where they return to.

A lovely bird: The Greenland White-fronted Goose (WFG) is the endangered species, the Eurasian species is still numerous. WFG currently can be taken outside the closed shooting season in England and Wales.
